Overlook of the aquarium as of today. The large Echinodorus x bartii has been moved to the other aquarium (the small one is still left) and the E rubin is rather tiny right now. Hopefully the CO2 will make it regain size soon. |

Left part of the aquarium. Vallisneria tiger spreading fast! But they are nice to look at and I think they are good at cleaning the water from nitrate. |

Right part of the aquarium. In the back you can see the heater and the BioPlast CO2 reactor. |

A school of Megalamphodus megalopterus in front of several kinds of Cyrptocoryne. The C balansae is really starting to grow! It will be interesting to see if they will grow even better with the, now present, CO2 addition. |

A picture of the right part of the aquarium as of today. You can see Echinodorus x Bartii, Rubin "narrow leaves" and Ozelot. They are waiting to be transferred to the other aquarium. The Hygrophilas have left the aquarium. |

This is a homemade CO2 reactor that worked quite well. It needed better flow underneath it though. The CO2 is let in from the side. I only used it for testing though, since it is, well, a bit too much an obstruction in the aquarium. |

This is the same day I set it up. The picture shows the left part of the aquarium. The Eheim 2026 had not arrived yet so only the outlet of the "old" 2226 can be seen. Today both filters use spray bars. This aquarium aquarium has been in use since 1995 but suring the Christmas holidays four weeks ago a disaster killed all the fish in it. I almost gave up, but took the opportunity to make fresh start. |
